And with one trailer, the spoiler embargo for Avengers: Endgame has officially been lifted. This morning, Marvel unveiled a new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home and it answers all of the questions fans have had leading up to it. To start, for the first time ever the trailer opened with a spoiler warning from Tom Holland…the irony is not lost on us.
So, just when does Far From Home take place? Well, like many guessed – it takes place almost immediately after Endgame and will find Peter Parker dealing with the loss of his mentor, Tony Stark.
Like, we are not ready for this anguish…it’s too soon.
“I don’t think Tony would have done what he did if he didn’t know you were going to be here when he was gone,” Happy tells him. So, while still being our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, Peter is hoping to soon take a break from just about everything and just have some fun.
Fitting to the title, Peter and his friends (who all were conveniently snapped by Thanos as well) are heading abroad for a decathlon.
But when Nick Fury shows up in Peter’s room, it becomes clear that his trip is going to be more than fun and games. Fury introduces Peter to Quentin Beck/Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is from another version of Earth. You see, Thanos’ “snap tore a hole in our dimension” which means that the MCU is officially introducing….
Despite Peter’s reservations, he agrees to help Fury and Beck save the world once again.
The trailer offers some other interesting moments as well including this scene where it looks like Peter is donning Tony’s iconic glasses:
Some new looks at Mysterio in action and the interesting relationship it looks as though he will be having with Peter:
MJ admitting that she knows Peter is Spider-Man:
Peter dropping this little line:
Far From Home will be the final film for Phase 3 and by bringing up the multiverse it’s clearer than ever that this film will set up the future of the MCU in ways people never would have predicted.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
