Netflix Confirms ‘Pokemon’ Series to Celebration Pokemon Day

On Monday, Netflix and The Pokémon Company unveiled their latest joint venture – Pokémon Concierge. As part of the “Pokémon Presents” livestream, a brief trailer for the series was shown that revealed its stop-motion animation style. This show appears to take on a much more tranquil tone compared to other battle-centric anime titles we’re familiar with today. It’s sure to be an enjoyable watch!

Minyoung Kim, a Netflix Asia executive, is thrilled to bring Pokémon Concierge to fans around the globe. By partnering with The Pokemon Company and creating this groundbreaking stop-motion animation set in the world of Pokemon, she hopes that viewers will be delighted by what they see on screen. Especially for special occasions like Pokemon Day when fans have so much excitement built up, Netflix strives to provide something extra extraordinary.

Netflix Confirms 'Pokemon' Series to Celebration Pokemon Day

Netflix has released details about the newest show to join their family, which will revolve around a concierge named Haru responsible for hosting an exclusive resort for Pokémon and their trainers. With each episode depicting Haru’s interactions with these unique creatures as well as those who own them, it is yet unknown whether this hotel also caters to humans too.

Furthermore, several queries remain about this series. Even though Kim asserted that it is “set in the Pokémon world,” which region specifically remains a mystery. This factor will significantly affect the aesthetic and components of the setting – certain locations like Jhoto have been presented with more undeveloped infrastructure while other regions such as Galar feature impressive cities and cutting-edge technology. On top of that, there’s an opportunity for The Pokémon Company to extend its horizon by connecting those different areas together even further through this new show.

Tune in to Monday’s “Pokémon Presents” livestream, and you’ll be immersed in a plethora of big announcements about the Pokémon franchise. Afterward, players can instantly download new content for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet with more incoming later this year. But social media was abuzz when the presentation failed to mention either the iconic anime series or older games on Nintendo Switch’s Game Boy emulator.
