NBC is Developing ‘IT Crowd’ Remake With Original Series Creator Graham Linehan
It’s happening again! According to Variety, NBC is taking another shot at developing a version of the hit British sitcom The IT Crowd for American viewers.
This will actually be the third time the network has attempted to create an American version of the series, however, this time around, NBC has original series creator Graham Linehan in their corner. Linehan will be writing and executive producing the new developing series. The series will be produced by Universal Television and will also include Patrick Daly and Jon Rolph as executive producers.
The IT Crowd television series follows the lives of the quirky employees of an information technology department in a major corporation. The original series ran for four seasons on Britain’s Channel 4 and starred Chris O’Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson, and Matt Berry.
