‘Mr Robot’ Will end With Season 4
USA’s popular drama, Mr Robot, is coming to an end.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Wednesday that the fourth season, which is set to air in 2019, will be the last of the series.
The series was released on USA and Amazon in conjunction with its deal with the studio, and is based around Elliot Alderson, a cyber engineer who becomes involved in a hacker group called fsociety. He’s then recruited by their leader, played by Christian Slater. fsociety breaks into a major company called Evil Corp, and the following seasons explore the repercussions of the attack.
The show gained a cult following and several awards including two Golden Globes. It won for best drama series, and Christian Slater took one home as well. Rami Malek won an Emmy for his performance on the series.
Although its second season lost a bit of that hype, Mr Robot remained extremely popular with its audience of young people.
Mr. Robot was created by Universal Cable Productions and Sam Esmail and stars Grace Gummer, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Michael Cristofer and Stephanie Corneliussen.
