Milo Ventimiglia is pretty synonymous with tears these days thanks to his turn as Jack Pearson on NBC’s This Is Us and now he’s got another tearjerker on the horizon with The Art of Racing in the Rain…except this one includes a perfect little puppy.
The Art of Racing in the Rain, which is based on Garth Stein’s 2008 novel, is told from the perspective a family dog named Enzo who has spent his whole life observing the world around him and begins to reflect on the lessons he learned from his owners. Kevin Costner voices Enzo in the film.
Enzo’s family includes struggling race car driver and car salesman Denny (Ventimiglia) his wife Eve (Amanda Seyfried). Enzo watches as their family begins to grow and tries to find his place in it all as they encounter the highs and lows of life.
“No one knows what curves life will throw at you, but if a driver has the courage to create his own conditions, then the rain is simply rain. But for now, all I want is one more lap.”
“Faster Denny. Faster.”

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
