Metro Exodus will release with multiple versions. The Spartan Collector’s Edition will feature a 10.5 inch Artyom (protagonist) statue with him fighting off a Watchman beast, authentic Spartan order dog tag and patches, replica postcards that are given to Artyom in the game, and special bespoke packing shaped as a radioactive barrel. It is only available to pre-order here in very small quantities. This edition is also available to purchase without the game.
The Aurora Limited Edition comes in a bespoke metal case themed after the Aurora train, the World of Metro art book, and the expansion pass. Any version of the game you pre-order will come with one of the following bonuses— a digital code for Metro 2033 for Xbox One, a dynamic theme for PS4, or a digital art book and soundtrack for PC. GameStop also is offering a Metro Exodus carabiner compass.
I personally got to see the game revealed by 4A Games at Microsoft’s E3 press conference in 2017. I pre-ordered the game right away, but the game experienced a delay earlier this year after being expected in fall 2018. I feel like the extra time for polish will be helpful, but the smarter decision of pushing a smaller title out of a crowded third quarter should bode well for Metro Exodus. February is becoming quite crowded however, so hopefully Metro gets a good shot at being a hit.
Are you excited for Metro Exodus to finally release? Does moving the game a week before Anthem help, or will it get into your Far Cry New Dawn, Crackdown 3, or Jump Force time? Show us your work in the comments below!
