While Jessica is getting drunk at a bar, waiting for Wendy, Kilgrave is sneaking around her apartment. Wendy finally comes out and Jessica follows her to the subway platform to attempt to get her to sign the divorce papers. When she refuses, Jessica holds her over the tracks to scare her. But being drunk, Jessica drops her. She immediately saves her and leaves.
Ruben catches Kilgrave sneaking around and tells him that he loves her. Malcolm helps a drunk Jessica to her apartment, they find Ruben’s dead body in her bed. Freaked out, Jessica decides to end it… by going to jail.
Trish still feels guilty from the failed plan and is trying to make it up to Jessica. She has some leads on where Kilgrave might be. Without telling Jessica, her and Will begin following them. Will finds out where Kilgrave is residing. Why won’t he tell Trish?
Jessica goes to a talent agent to see Trish’s mother. She enforces the fact that Trish’s mother was awful and to stay away from her. Was she a typical stage mom or worse? Malcolm calls Trish for help. He shows her Ruben’s body and she immediately screams and pulls out her gun. They move the body and clean everything up.
When Jessica returns, Trish tries to knock some common sense into her. But Jessica thinks the only way to keep innocent people from dying is to take herself out of the equation. Jessica leaves to find Malcolm and Ruben’s body. She then brings Ruben’s head to the police station. She fires a very angry Hogarth in order to represent herself. She wants to go to prison. Kilgrave arrives and manipulates the captain into letting her go. Kilgrave admits that he does what he does because he loves her.
What does she have to do to get rid of him?
She goes back to her apartment to find the present Kilgrave left her. It’s a box with her old journal in it. Robin comes looking for Ruben. Jessica doesn’t have the heart to tell her what happened.
Instead she leaves and goes to her childhood home to find Kilgrave living there. And Will sees this whole exchange. Now will he call Trish?
