The Marvel Cinematic Universe is continuing to grow as reports suggest that a popular actor from The Walking Dead will join the MCU roster in an important part of Phase 5’s upcoming crossover movie.

Phase 5 is thrilled to announce the addition of Thunderbolts. In this film, we will see a team full of former villains and beloved anti-heroes embark upon an unknown mission under the enigmatic leadership of Sebastian Stan’s character Bucky Barnes. Steven Yeun Joins the MCU’s Thunderbolts 

Steven Yeun, best known for his performances in Nope and The Walking Dead, has been confirmed to take on a paramount part within Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie Thunderbolts – as reported by Deadline.

Sources have indicated that the actor’s role is not only critical to bringing Phase 5 of the MCU to a close but will also be hugely important in shaping its future.

Steven Yeun made a lasting impression on audiences when he portrayed Glenn Rhee in AMC’s The Walking Dead from 2010 to 2016.

After his awe-inspiring performance as Jacob in A24’s Minari, Yeun was recently nominated for an Oscar. His incredible portrayal of the character also earned him a scene-stealing performance in Jordan Peele’s Nope last year. In 2023, Yeun will have no shortage of work since he is set to star alongside Ali Wong in Netflix and A24’s dark comedy limited series Beef while reuniting with Parasite director Bong Joon Ho in Warner Bros.’ Mickey 17 – all on top of Thunderbolts!

Yeun has now become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with long-time members Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss in Thunderbolts.

Marvel Studios just scored big time by bringing Steven Yeun aboard their ever-growing cast of characters. While it remains uncertain exactly which character he will portray, given the sheer number of superheroes and adversaries from Marvel comics, we can only be left to wonder with anticipation!

With Steven Yeun’s remarkable acting career and his ever-growing fame, it was only a matter of time before he had a major part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Recently, Deadline reported that this dream is set to become reality; shedding light on who he may play.

At this time, the true antagonist of the Thunderbolts remains a mystery – however, popular opinion suggests that Sentry could be behind it all. In Marvel Comics lore, Sentry is an individual with powers akin to Superman’s who battles his inner demons: namely his malevolent alter-ego known as The Void.

Given that Yeun has been singled out as a key figure in the MCU’s future, it stands to reason that his portrayal of Sentry could make an appearance in the upcoming two Avengers films. The possibility exists for him to play an ally role and assist Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on their next thrilling mission.
