Marvel Keeping Doctor Strange Away from Advance Screenings to Avoid Spoilers

While we were all counting down the days until Spider-Man: No Way Home, the web-slinging blockbuster was beset on all sides by a never-ending flood of leaks, but Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has so far avoided them.
The fact that Sony was behind the No Way Home information circulating online is one of the most popular conspiracy theories, and when you consider that Morbius director Daniel Espinosa was dispatched into the wild a week before the film’s release to spoil his own movie, it makes sense that Sony would be behind it all.
Of course, the world premiere of Eternals was ruined when Harry Styles‘ cameo in the film was spoiled during the premier, which is when we can also expect reporters are expected to break the news about Sam Raimi‘s superhero sequel, Doctor Strange 2.
NEW: Disney will be giving #DoctorStrange the STAR WARS and ENDGAME treatment. No one sees the full film until 5/2. Reactions will follow the premiere. Reviews to drop the next morning. This is due to spoilers & keeping the surprises hidden till as close to release as possible pic.twitter.com/i1EETLiVhb

On a serious note, #DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness is so full of crazy surprises / spoilers / reveals Disney will not show the movie before junket interviews. First FULL screening is for premiere AFTER the interviews. Star Wars level secrecy.

As you can see, there’s a long wait ahead of us. Erik Davis and Rob Keyes said that no one will see the Doctor Strange 2 until the first screening.
Based on what we’ve seen and heard thus far, we’re ecstatic that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness isn’t giving away the game early. The idea has the size and promise for twists that even die-hard Marvel fans won’t see coming, which is part of why the excitement surrounding it continues to build near-unstoppable momentum.
