Marvel: Benedict Cumberbatch is Ripped in New Behind-the-Scenes Filming Photo for Multiverse of Madness

Now that the excitement for Spider-Man: No Way Home is dying down, Marvel Studios is turning its attention to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the next major chapter in the MCU.

Despite his small role in the Avenger films, Strange managed to steal the show every time we’ve seen him since his debut in 2016.

Strange’s sequel, on the other hand, will be a direct follow-up to No Way Home and focus on Stephen Strange as the central character, dealing with the aftermath of his spell mishap.

Benedict Cumberbatch must have realized the gravity of the situation while filming. It’s one thing to reprise your role as a supporting cast member in someone else’s movie, and another when you’ve got to make sure that your own film succeeds enough to keep your character relevant within this intricately interconnected narrative

It seems, however, that the actor is well aware of this fragility. As can be seen in the photo below, which was shared on Weibo by a user, this new image shows Cumberbatch preparing for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and he appears to be insanely strong.

If Cumberbatch is training this hard for his role, Doctor Strange in this sequel will not be limited to flipping his hands about to cast spells. For the actor himself, it’s nice to see that he’s finally caught up with the Chrises (Pratt, Evans, and Hemsworth) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
