Paramount is ready to give moviegoers the perfect post-Thanksgiving movie now that they’ve moved Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne’s comedy Instant Family up three months from February 2019 to this November. According to Varietythe film has been testing extremely well and the studio sees it as the opportunity to put a heartfelt family film on the list for Holiday movie lovers, following in the footsteps of last years Wonder, which ended up taking home $132 million domestically.

Instant Family follows “a couple (Wahlberg and Byrne) who decide to start a family and adopt through the foster-care system, only to find themselves raising three wild kids who have no interest in being parented, including one rebellious 15-year-old girl.” The film features a supporting cast of Octavia Spencer, Isabela Moner, Tig Notaro, Iliza Shlesinger, and Tom Segura. Wahlberg will be reuniting with his Daddy’s Home writer/director Sean Anders, who says the film is inspired by real-life events from his past.

Other notable family films that have hit theaters during the Holidays such as Wonder and The Blind Side tend to perform much better than that of more action-type movies such as Justice League and The Twilight Saga: New Moon so expectations are certainly high for Paramount after such a move.

Coming up Wahlberg will be starring alongside The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan for the action film Mile 22,  which hits theaters this weekend. He most recently appeared in Oscar contender All the Money in the World, the Daddy’s Home Sequel, and 2017’s Transformers: The Last Night. Byrne can soon be seen in the charming looking romantic comedy Juliet, Naked alongside Ethan Hawke and Chris O’Dowd. She also just lent her voice to the recent Peter Rabbit film and is rumored to be co-starring in a comedy with Tiffany Haddish called Limited Partners.
