Mark Hamill Gets Street Named After Him in San Diego

News Channel, Fox 5 San Diego, announced earlier this morning that Star Wars star Mark Hamill will have a street named after him.
The city council voted 7-0 in favor of renaming the roadway after Hamill.

Formerly known as Castleton Drive, the new Mark Hamill Dr. will intersect with Remillard Rd in the Clairmont area of San Diego. Hamill lived on the street for 4 years during the 1960s.

Rebecca Kelly, spokesperson to City Councilman Chris Cates, stated that Hamill would like for there to be an unveiling…well, of course!
Mark Hamill is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars film franchise. He can be seen in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi due to hit theaters on December 15, 2017. It will be the eighth episode in the saga.
