20th Century Fox has signed a new kind of deal with Mandy Moore.
Deadline reported details about the partnership last week, which brings together the company that brought us the immensely popular family drama, This is Us, and its star, in a different type of way.
In the pact Moore and Fox signed, she will produce and develop new broadcast projects that we’ll be able to see on both cable and streaming. They will come through her brand new streaming company, once they find an executive.
Moore is currently searching for material, and is specifically interested in producing stories about women. She is also reaching back into her pop star roots to find projects that are musically inclined. She is represented by Gersh, Untitled Entertainment and attorney PJ Shapiro.
Mandy Moore is an accomplished singer and actress who currently stars as Rebecca Pearson on NBC’s This Is Us. She was nominated for a Golden Globe in 2017 for Best Performance by An Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series, or Motion Picture Meant for Television. The cast also took home a drama ensemble SAG Award this year. Disney fans know Moore as the voice of Rapunzel in Disney’s animated movie Tangled, and Dr. Doolittle 2.
We’re excited to see what Mandy Moore has up her sleeve with this new project!
