According to Fathom Events, the showings will also feature a special featurette titled Meryl’s Big Number, which dives into the creation and performance of Streep’s iconic performance of “Mamma Mia!” EW also confirmed that “commentary will be provided via interviews with director Phyllida Lloyd, Streep, and star Amanda Seyfried.”

Mamma Mia! followed a young woman named Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) who was soon to be married on the stunning Greek island where she lived with her mother Donna (Meryl Streep). Wanting to know more about her father, Sophie comes across Donna’s journal from her post-college days where she learns that there are three men who could be her father. So, what does she do? Invites all three! As the men travel to the island, a touching story of family and hilarious antics unfold all set to the bops of ABBA! Since its 2008 release, Mamma Mia! has raked in a whopping $610 million worldwide.

In addition to Seyfried and Streep, Mamma Mia! also starred Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, Christine Baranski, Dominic Cooper, and Julie Walters – all of whom returned for 2018’s sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.  The sequel put a creative spin on the story of Sophie and Donna by taking us back to a young Donna (played by Lily James) discovering and eventually running, a small inn in Greece and the three young hunks she meets along the way. The film also jumped back to the present day to update us on the lives of Sophie & Co. It earned over $390 million at the global box office and is now available to purchase digitally!
