The 45-year-old actress Matialnd Ward played Rachel McGuire in the popular coming-of-age series, Boy Meets World. The show took place at the fictional Pennbrook University, which the main characters attended.
The show, which followed the everyday events and life lessons of main character Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), ran for seven seasons from 1993-2000. It was a popular show that many people watched.
Maitland, who also starred in The Bold and the Beautiful, has spoken about her time on the drama. She said that “everything to do with my storyline was kind of sexual, and no one tried to hide it.”
She added in her memoir Rated X: How Porn Liberated Me from Hollywood: ‘There was always an undertone or innuendo — some joke that junior high boys might make as they compared d**k size next to their lockers.’
The former soap star continued: ‘I was asked to try on lingerie for the producers in the office. This happened more than once, as Rachel was the only character to consistently take off her clothes.’
Since leaving Boy Meets World, Maitland went on to star in movie White Chicks and comedy series Rules Of Engagement, before deciding to pursue a career as a porn star.
Maitland addressed expressing herself sexually on and off screen in her memoir, writing: ‘I need to be compliant when they wanted to use my body as a story point but guilty when I wanted to express anything with it on my own.
‘Even if I really let loose and started to enjoy taking these pictures, I would be held back from that. [Boy Meets World creator] Michael [Jacobs] would come down and give me a talk about how wildly desperate I was being perceived and that I needed to mind myself and handle this professionally and without a smile.’
Speaking about her move into porn, the actress previously said her love of cosplay and sexy selfies led to her interest in the adult entertainment industry.
‘I have always sort of been an exhibitionist, like always. I love dressing sexy in public and things like that,’ she told In Touch Weekly.
