Maisie Richardson-Sellers Will Be Back for ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 4

Maisie Richardson-Sellers Will Be Back for Legends of Tomorrow Season 4

During the Season 3 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, Amaya (played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers) made the decision to leave the team and return to her rightful place in time. The season very much played to her embracing her destiny and death, which made her departure bittersweet. Richardson-Sellers’ status for Season 4 has been in question since the finale, but the actress has now confirmed via Twitter that she will be back for an even “weirder and more wonderful” Season 4.

Amaya has been an integral part of the Legends since she joined the team back in Season 2. She is a voice of reason and has become Sara’s right hand woman. Amaya took the lead on a couple of missions in Season 3 and did a fantastic job, even making a name for herself as the Dread Pirate Jiwe.

Originally, Amaya had told Nate that if she ever decided to leave the team, she would wipe her memory because it would be too hard to live with them. When the time came, however, Amaya didn’t go through with it. This certainly left the door open for her return, and it’s a good thing because the Legends are going to need all the help they can get. When Mallus was released from his prison, other supernatural threats also managed to escape. The season finale found the Legends’ Aruba vacation interrupted by John Constantine, who presents them with the result of their latest screw-up.

It hasn’t yet been confirmed that Richardson-Sellers will be a series regular for Season 4. Her announcement comes on the heels of more casting changes as Matt Ryan (John Constantine), Jes Macallan (Ava Sharpe), and Courtney Ford (Nora Darhk) have all been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming season while Keiynan Lonsdale (Wally West) won’t return to Legends or The Flash as a regular.

Legends of Tomorrow kicks off it’s fourth season October 22 on The CW.
