With Halloween behind us, it’s time to look forward to the next upcoming holiday, THANKSGIVING!  On Wednesday, the incredible line up for the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was announced and boy, are there some awesome appearances scheduled for this year’s event.

Last year, Macy’s went big in celebration of their 90th anniversary, however, this year, it looks like they are topping themselves once again.  The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been an annual event and tradition since 1924 and draws around 3 million spectators along the parade route with over 50 million viewers nationwide, according to the retail store.

Spectators of all ages travel from all over the world to New York City for the parade while others tune in from the comforts of their own home to watch the festive celebration.  In a statement on Wednesday, Susan Tercero, group vice-president of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade said:

“For more than 90 years, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has signaled the start of the holiday season for millions of families. We are thrilled to once again come together as a nation to give this gift of joy and wonder to all.  Our incredible team has planned a fantastic spectacle featuring an amazing line-up of giant character balloons, floats of fantasy, the nation’s best marching bands and performance groups, a dazzling array of musical artists, all coming together to herald the arrival of the one-and-only Santa Claus.”

The 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin on Thanksgiving morning at 9 AM at 77th Street and Central Park West in New York.  The parade will then march all the way over to 34th Street before making its final turn, ending up at 7th Avenue in front of the history Macy’s Herald Square location.
