On Friday, writer and director M. Night Shyamalan gave us what we’ve all been waiting for! Via his Twitter page, Shyamalan dropped the very first look at his highly-anticipated film Glass and we can hardly contain our complete and total excitement!

Shyamalan has been keeping his fans updated via Twitter and, on Friday morning, he announced that Glass will be present in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con next month! Additionally, he said, fans can expect a surprise from the presentation! He said, “I’m so excited to tell you that @GlassMovie will be at #ComicCon. I will be in Hall H on July 20th with the cast! You can expect a surprise as well…”

While we’re pretty sure that “surprise” will be a trailer or, at the very least a teaser for the film, Shyamalan didn’t want to leave his fans in total suspense. Immediately following his first tweet, he revealed the glorious teaser poster for the upcoming film. He said, “But if you need your #GlassMovie fix before July 20th, here’s the world premiere of our teaser poster.”

Last year, Shyamalan announced that Glass would be a final installment/sequel film for his previous hits Unbreakable and Split. Bruce Willis (who plays David Dunn) and Samuel L. Jackson (who plays Mr. Glass) will return to reprise their roles in the previous film. James McAvoy is also on board reviving his 25 personalities (etcetera!) from the Split.

Take a look at the gorgeous first poster for Glass below as well as the film’s synopsis:

M. Night Shyamalan Unveils the First Film Poster for 'Glass'
CR: Universal – Shyamalan via Twitter

[row]“M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable and last year’s Split —in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass. From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.”[/row]
