Lord Of The Rings is something everyone knows! The movies were massive hits and remain classics to this day. The Hobbit films may not have received the same level of acclaim but are excellent films in their own right. People went crazy when they found out a Lord Of The Rings series was coming to Amazon Prime Video. Now the Lord Of The Rings series has a premiere date! We know when it’s dropping!

Funnily enough, we don’t know what the show is going to be called as of right now. But like we mentioned above we at least know when we can finally watch it. That would be on September 2, 2022. That’s just a little over a year!

It sounds like forever but in reality we’re sure it will pass quite quickly. And if it really feels like it’s taking too long, well… just watch the Lord Of The Rings trilogy again!

“The journey begins September 2, 2022, with the premiere of our original ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series on Prime Video. I can’t express enough just how excited we all are to take our global audience on a new and epic journey through Middle-earth! Our talented producers, cast, creative, and production teams have worked tirelessly in New Zealand to bring this untold and awe-inspiring vision to life.” Jennifer Salke said as the head of Amazon Studios.

The official description of the show says “The new epic drama brings to screens for the very first time J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. Beginning in a time of relative peace, thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ books, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.”
