Lizzo, who was already booked, busy, and completely unbothered, had no interest in a comedian who body-shamed her before an MTV Video Music Awards performance.
At the award show, Lizzo didn’t give the media haters even a second of her attention. Walks away with an award in the Video For Good category for her song, “About Damn Time.”
In her acceptance speech, she managed to only slightly insult them.
“I want to say thank you so much for supporting me and loving me. And now, to the bitches that got somethin’ to say about me in the press,” “She said, referencing how Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus at the ceremony in 2015,”

Lizzo didn’t just serenade viewers, but also shared a message about the importance of voting. She added, “I don’t know what ‘music videos for good’ means, but I do know what your vote means, and that’s a fucking lot.”
“Your vote means everything to me,” she continued. “It means everything to make a change in this country. So, remember when you’re voting for your favorite artists, vote to change some of these laws that are oppressing us.”
Beyoncé was nominated for five trophies at the ceremony, including Artist of the Year, Best Pop, Video for Good, Song of Summer, and Most Dedicated Fan.
After Lizzo’s acceptance speach, many of Lizzo’s fans took to the internet to stand up for her, questioning why people constantly feel the need to voice their unwanted opinions on somebody else’s body.
