The buzz surrounding Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s take on A Star Is Born is already electric. It’s been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences at film festivals and is already a huge contender heading into Oscar season. The film, which follows a musician (Bradley Cooper) who helps a young singer/actress (Lady Gaga) find fame as his own career heads into a downward spiral, is being praised not only for its acting but its music. Now, just ahead of its October 5th release date, the film has released an official music video for Cooper and Gaga’s heralded duet “Shallows” and it is absolutely breathtaking.
Not one to be known for his singing, Cooper’s gritty and soulful voice is surely a standout, but its Gaga’s chill-inducing and powerful vocals that are the real star of the song. The video is laced with clips from the film and the duo’s performance of the song. Needless to say, fans were freaking out on Twitter over, throwing Oscars at Gaga and giving their snap takes.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
