Less Is More For Game Of Thrones Cast S7

Winter is almost here as Game Of Thrones (GOT) fans eagerly anticipate the debut of season 7 this July 16 on HBO. While there have been many mixed emotions about the season being shortened from 10 episodes down to a mere 7, fans will be given more time to embrace some of their most beloved characters. How can that be true? Stop to consider the many characters killed off in season 6 and it is no doubt that those remaining will need to fill the void. Rather than having a short amount time being spent with main characters spread out in different locations, worlds are converging and storylines are crossing.

“Everyone gets a bigger slice of the pie.” – GOT cast member Kit Harington (Jon Snow)

“Ever since Tyrion crossed the Narrow Sea and met Dany that’s been the general direction. And having them on set together is a real privilege for us.” – GOT showrunner Dan Weiss

One must also consider that the filming time of 7 episodes was the same as earlier seasons containing 10 episodes. The remaining cast worked more hours than ever before in an effort to make season 7 spectacular for the fans!

“When I first read this season I thought: ‘Damn, I gotta learn some lines!’” Clarke marveled. “We’re actually filming longer now. I don’t know how that’s happening.” – GOT cast member Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)

“These storylines are going to cross and it’s going to be so exciting to watch I think. War has really started. We all know there’s no escape. How are we going to run away from what’s coming? Everyone is going to get trapped. The heat is on.” – GOT cast member Carice van Houten (Melisandre).

Expectations are high for Game Of Thrones season 7 and I for one am looking forward to seeing what it has to offer.
