Lea Michele Shares her Fitness Motivation

Lea Michele is currently preparing for a new leg of a tour alongside the release of her new album, Places, which drops on April 28th. The tour, named The Intimate Evening Tour kicks off May 1st in North America and gives her fans an experience unlike most other tours. It’s slowed down, it’s revealing, and it’s a peek into what goes into the vulnerability required to write and sing the way Lea does.

With a busy schedule, and sometimes even a not-so-busy schedule – it can be hard to fit in proper exercise and clean eating. Lea’s motivation to make sure she does keep up with her exercise routines and eats well is simple – she enjoys eating! In an interview with E!, she shared that she exercises to be healthy, but also so that when she gets to tour, visit new cities, or even sit around at home – she can eat (albeit healthy) and not have to switch out her cravings with alternatives.

I love working out. I work out to feel good but also so I can eat whatever I want. I want to be able to enjoy myself. I’m Italian. I like to eat big meals. I love red wine. And you know also when you’re traveling and stuff like that I like trying new restaurants and going on adventures, so I can’t limit myself.

She went on to say, as we mentioned, that the food she craves is healthy. Thanks to a lifestyle choice – not a diet plan.

I’m good in the sense that I’ve never eaten fast food. I do not drink soda. I don’t eat candy. Like my house is healthy, so when I’m saying I’m eating a lot it’s like good food that’s worth it.

She also spoke of how she’s in a great place in her life right now. She’s been through some very high highs and heartbreaking lows and all of it happened in the public eye. So hearing that Lea is content with her life, happy even, is news to the ears of her fans. Recovering from the kind of heartache she’s suffered is heroic in itself. It’s motivation to her fans to overcome their own obstacles.

While stars are always asked about their exercise and eating tips, Lea’s is easily the most relatable. Don’t we all want to be healthy and still be able to eat out favorite foods?
