Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph to Voice Star in New Fox Comedy Series

Here is some beautiful news for you SNL lovers! Fox has ordered an animated comedy series starring Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph straight to series titled Bless the Harts. The two leading ladies will voice-star alongside Workaholics’  Jillian Bell and The Mindy Project’s Ike Barinholtz. The network has handed out a 13 episode order with the intention of premiering during the 2019-2020 season.

The series is set to follow “a group of Southerners who are always broke as a joke, and struggling for the American dream of status and wealth. What they don’t realize is that they’re already rich, in friends, family and laughter.”

Created by esteemed comedy writer Emily Spivey (King of the Hill, The Last Man on Earth, and Masterminds),
the series will be executive produced by Chris Miller and Phil Lord. Miller and Lord’s feature film work includes movies such as 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie. They have also lent their creativity to the small screen with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Last Man on Earth, and How I Met Your Mother.

Spivey recently teamed up with some more Saturday Night Live! ladies when she wrote and co-starred in Amy Poehler’s upcoming Netflix film Wine CountryThe movie is set to star SNL alums Rachel Dratch, Paula Pell, Ana Gasteyea, Tina Fey, and Rudolph.
