Kit Harington Marries ‘Game of Thrones’ Co-Star Rose Leslie

Attention Game of Thrones fans! Fan Fest is here to announce that a wedding fit for the Seven Kingdoms has been bestowed upon us and we’re happy to report that it had a much better ending than that infamous Red Wedding. Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow, married his Wilding Rose Leslie this weekend during a beautiful ceremony in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was basically a second Royal Wedding and we are truly living.
Naturally, the wedding took place in an actual castle and a whole bunch of Harington and Leslie’s Game of Thrones co-stars were in attendance, thanks to his insistence that the show’s rigorous filming schedule be put on hold for the nuptials.
‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They (the cast) have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down,” Harington apparently told Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin after their engagement.
Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) were in attendance looking fiercer than ever in complimenting red and black outfits. Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), and Richard Madden (Robb Stark) we also all in attendance. Leslie wore a vintage-inspired long-sleeved lace gown with a stunning flower crown and Harington looked dashing in his ensemble as well. Harington and Leslie met on the set of Game of Thrones back in 2012 when she starred on the show’s second season and gave us one of the most iconic lines to date.
It turns out he did know a thing or two though, like the fact that he met the woman he was going to one day marry.
Fans were, of course, tweeting up a storm on the big day with the hashtag #GameOfThronesWedding.

Congrats to the happy couple who were able to find their happily ever after in real life!
Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
