Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour Concert is a Must Attend Event for Fans

Last night, I attended the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour concert, excited for the ability to listen to incredible music from the franchise performed by a full orchestra, and it was even better than I expected it to be. There is nothing like live music, and the show started with a punch to the emotions with “Dearly Beloved,” the song which starts all Kingdom Hearts games.

If you’ve attended a Legend of Zelda concert, you’re familiar with how the events of the evening. The orchestra plays music that accompanies video pulled from the video games, and I cannot harp enough on how well-edited the video for Kingdom Hearts was. The beautiful music along with the video heightened the emotion and nostalgia. During the performance of “Organization XIII,” I actually found myself feeling sad for all of them, which isn’t something I necessarily felt while playing Kingdom Hearts II. My favorite part were all of the medley’s that strung together different themes, from heroes to villains to worlds. They were a lot of fun.

The best part of the show I won’t fully spoil, but it was cut scenes and game-play footage from Kingdom Hearts III. Hearing the music and having so much anticipation for the game, I found myself on the point of tears (it’s almost here!).

The tour is still going on, and if you have a chance to attend, you definitely should. It was absolutely amazing and heightened my excitement for the release of Kingdom Hearts III in January.
