Tis the season to be jolly…no, that’s not right. Tis the season to still be heartbroken over Shiva’s death, that’s more like it. Sure, it may not flow off the tongue as easily, but it’s true. We still aren’t over the death of that CGI tiger, and if many of you are honest, you probably aren’t either.
Not only was she a critical part of King Ezekiel’s persona, her story came full circle as she died saving him, the man who ultimately saved her. It’s a heroic tale and she’ll always be a driving force for Ezekiel if he can bring himself out of this darkness. However, we’re sure he’d rather have her around than to live in the midst of some sort of ‘post-Shiva’ lesson.
Khary Payton is clearly missing Shiva as much as we all are, and his Thanksgiving shout out was the perfect way to celebrate her, and his The Walking Dead family.

Plus, this picture totally makes us feel cool with our dream that she made it out alive and is just hanging out behind the scenes now, not wanting to deal with another situation like that. Seriously, she deserves some r&r.
While Jim Gaffigan doesn’t seem to have fared very well in this ‘Shiva survived’ bargain, Khary did point out that she’s wearing her favorite holiday bow so all’s well that end’s well, right?
