Kevin Feige Teases an Emotionally Charged Introduction to ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

There was an idea to bring together a group of remarkable fans to see if we could handle a film of epic proportions… Okay, so that may not be how the saying really goes, but quite frankly, we thought we’d have a chance at making it at least halfway through this one without becoming an emotional mess.

Looks like we were aiming way too high.

After the trailer for Infinity War dropped on November 29th, fans have been anticipating the battle to end all battles in the MCU. Now, we’ve got a bit of new information about the film that makes us more anxious than ever.

Kevin Feige started by saying that Infinity War is the biggest film the MCU has ever made. Not only that, but they’ve been teasing Thanos since the first Avengers film, so they had to make him unforgettable, and in the most detrimental way.

Well, it’s certainly the biggest movie we’ve ever made. It is still shooting, we’ve been shooting all year long and Josh is doing an amazing job of playing Thanos. You know, we’ve been teasing Thanos since the very first Avengers film. Remember the end of Avengers, the very end of the movie he turns around in the chair and you realize something bad is coming.

Feige went on to say that we’ll find out why Thanos is the ‘biggest and baddest’ villain in the film’s first five minutes. So, we’ll be going to the theater prepared. That means, if you see us…we’ll have a bag full of tissues and some large sunglasses to wear out of the theater.

We’ve been teasing him for years and the trick is when you tease something for that long you have to deliver. So, within the first five minutes of Infinity War people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We knew it would be bad, but we were hoping to at least have a few moments of peace. Looks like that’s just wishful thinking.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4th, 2018.
