Kevin Feige Confirms ‘Doctor Strange 2’

If you didn’t see the first Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch, chances are you were somewhat intrigued by his character now that you’ve seen Infinity War. Doctor Strange played a huge role in the Avengers’ fight against Thanos and has been set up to play an even bigger role in Avengers 4, seeing as he’s actually seen the end result of the snap that killed half the population.

The first film came out in 2016 and a sequel has been hanging in the air ever since, until now. Kevin Feige recently confirmed that Stephen Strange’s story will definitely continue, albeit much like all of the upcoming Marvel films, the timeline will still remain a bit of a question mark.

[row]”Doctor Strange, you know, whenever we do another Strange movie, which we will do, it will be a number of years from the first Strange, and yet he’s a very big part of Infinity War. So, it is just a good problem to have when you have too many beloved characters that people want to see more of, whilst keeping to our core belief that we need to keep exploring nuance and keep doing different types of things,” Feige told CinemaBlend.[/row]

The Doctor Strange sequel joins upcoming MCU follow-ups including Spider-Man: Far From Home, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Black Panther, all of which had characters “disintegrate” at the end of Infinity War. Doctor Strange followed Stephen Strange, a brilliant neurosurgeon is drawn into the world of the mystic arts after a car accident. It also starred Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, and Benedict Wong.
