Kelly Ripa is Joining Husband Mark Consuelos on ‘Riverdale’

Riverdale is turning into a family show, as in its becoming a real family affair.
Kelly Ripa is joining her husband, Mark Consuelos on the hit CW drama where she will play Hiram Lodge’s(Consuelos) alleged mistress Mrs. Mulwray. Mrs. Mulwray is an attractive, icy temptress who finds herself deeply involved in a conspiracy.
Ripa broke the news with a leggy Instagram post saying “It’s a family affair……..Hiram’s mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role I was born to play. Coming soon to the @thecwriverdale.”
Consuelos teased us about wanting his wife to join the show during San Diego Comic-Con saying “Wouldn’t it be great? She could play a nice little saucy character…Hiram’s mistress or something like that?”
Ripa may play her real-life husband’s mistress, but this isn’t the first time the family has gotten together on the show. Michael Consuelos, Ripa and Consuelos’ son, will play a young Hiram Lodge in the flashback episode, “The Midnight Club,” airing this Wednesday.
Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
