Kanye West’s Anti-Semitic Remarks Spark Widespread Condemnation

Kanye West has been making the news yet again, which usually implies he’s said something to agitate a large number of people or that he has a new project on the way. For others, he may have gone too far this time, with some branding him anti-Semitic and others demanding that he seek treatment for his mental issues.

While Jewish people have been mentioned in West’s tweets before, as well as the fact that he was sporting a White Lives Matter shirt all week, his late-night tweet earned him mocking, hatred, and a restricted social media presence.

Kanye West's Anti-Semitic Remarks Spark Widespread Condemnation

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also,” That was the opinion of Kanye West after he had mocked himself in front of millions of people on television during his interview on Saturday Night Live.

It’s baffling how we’ve managed to go back in time to when things like The Turner Diaries or The Protocols of the Elders of Zion are popular among rappers. West has admitted that he doesn’t read, so there is still some hope. These types of events in pop culture can really ruin your day and make you want to join the conversation on social media.

Nonetheless, some people just couldn’t help themselves. Others felt it was another great opportunity to ridicule the rapper and the circumstance, even if it appears like we’re a few days away from Holocaust denial or something equally as damaging to hear.
