Kanye, who is now known as Ye, has almost completed his next studio album, which will be a sequel to “Donda.”On Thursday morning, Ye revealed that Donda 2 will be released on Feb. 22, 2022. The date 2/22/22 is perfect for his first sequel album in his career.

Kanye West revealed the news with a photo of his childhood home burning and the announcement that Future would executive-produce “Donda 2.” Last year, Kanye built a replica of his house in the middle of Soldier Field, Chicago, during one of his “Donda” album listening events. That was the same concert where he brought out controversial artists Marilyn Manson and DaBaby on his doorstep, appropriately enough.

It was also reported last week that Ye had begun working on “Donda 2,” only a few months after the original “Donda” was released on Aug. 29, 2021, following numerous delays; Earlier in the week, Steven Victor, a Universal Music executive and a long-time friend of West’s, claimed the album will be released “before you think.”Whether or not “Donda 2” is released on time will likely only be revealed on the morning of Feb. 22, when Ye’s fans know that he has a long history with album delays and projects that are announced but never completed.

The name “Donda,” which was derived from Ye’s mother, is up for several Grammy accolades, including album of the year and rap album of the year. The Weeknd and Lil Baby’s song “Hurricane” is nominated for best melodic rap performance, while Jay-Z’s “Jail” is vying for the award for the best hip-hop song.Kna
