As much as we love “Can’t Stop the Feeling” it’s about time that Justin Timberlake gives us some new music to obsess over and thankfully he is here to answer the call! Timberlake teased on his Twitter this morning that a new (and long-awaited) single would be released this Friday and that he has a new album on the way titled Man of the Woods coming out in February.

His tweet also featured a short clip, previewing the album so that fans could get a taste of what to expect from his new Southern America inspired sound.
“This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family, but more so than any other album I’ve written, where I’m from,” Timberlake, who was born in Tennessee, says in a voiceover.
The preview is full of videos of Timberlake surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of TN and features his wife Jessica Biel and son Silas as well.
“It feels like mountains, trees, campfires, like the wild west, like now,” Biel can be heard saying in the clip.
Timberlake has been hinting for some time that he would be taking his next album back to his roots.
“It sounds more like where I’ve come from than any other music I’ve ever made. It’s Southern American music. But I want to make it sound modern — at least that’s the idea right now,” he told The Hollywood Reporter last February.
The clip also teases a collaboration with Pharrell who has been helping him produce the album along with Timbaland, Max Martin, and Shellback. When Timberlake was announced as the halftime show for this year’s Super Bowl many began speculating whether or not he would be dropping some new music prior to his performance and Man of the Woods will be released just in time on February 2nd, two days before the big game.
“Along with Pepsi, we’re excited to have Justin Timberlake. Like the elite NFL players who can run, catch, and block, Justin can do it all — sing, dance, act, and entertain. He’s the ultimate global superstar who we know will put on an entertaining and unifying show that will appeal to the massive worldwide audience,” the NFL said when making the announcement.
Are you excited for some new music from JT? We sure are!

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
