‘Justice League’ Cast on Why the Film’s Message Resonates so Profoundly in 2017

The day has arrived!  Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment’s Justice League has officially been released into theaters nationwide today!

During a recent press conference, the cast was asked a pretty relevant question about the film’s overall message.  Sure, it’s a superhero film.  Yes, of course, it’s based on comic books and all but, the overall theme of the film is a call to action.  These superheroes from different worlds and different walks of life unite together in order to help repair a divided world.

When asked why they think this kind of message resonates so profoundly in 2017 and why this message is so important, the film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) and Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg) gave answers from the heart.

Gadot’s response definitely sounds pretty Wonder Woman-esque.  Focusing on the need to do good because that’s simply the right thing to do, Gadot answered with the following:

“In the real world, we don’t fight monsters, we don’t have aliens attacks. Right? It’s us creating the problem. And I think that it would’ve been wonderful, if somehow, us humans, could get together and come together and just be. And do good to each and make the world another place. I’m giving you a cheesy answer, but I mean it from the bottom of my heart.”

Fisher talks a little bit more about the struggles between good and evil.  He said:

“It’s inspiring to see people with so much power who could go toward the negative side [go to the good side].  It’s great and it’s important for us to see people with power doing good.  Hopefully, that’ll inspire other people who have the power to continue that.”

While the film delivers a powerful message, will also have a powerful impact on the box office this weekend?  Only time will tell!  Justice League is in theaters right now, nationwide!

What do you think of Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher’s comments regarding the film’s message and it’s relations to today’s world?  Have you seen the film yet?  What did you think?  Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
