‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Owns Second Box Office Weekend

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is continuing to chomp the other films out of its way to theatergoer hearts.

The film is predicted to earn $60 million from its second weekend open, making it the 20th best opening of all time in the US. of course it’s a decline from its $148 million opening, but only 25 films have ever made over 60 million in their second weekend open.

Its box office total is now $264.7 million and $809 million worldwide.

Disney-Pixar’s Incredibles 2 takes second place in its third weekend at the box office. The film is expected to bring in another $45.5 million therefore raising its box office total to $439.7 million domestic plus another $156.9 million internationally. Incredibles 2 received $182 million in it’s opening weekend and therefore surpassed Finding Dory to become Pixar’s highest opening weekend total ever.

The R-rated Marvel and 20th Century Fox film Deadpool 2 will fall to seventh place this weekend. The film has earned another whopping $3.45 million, bringing its box office total to $310.3 million. Solo: A Star Wars Story falls to ninth place. The latest Star Wars movie from Lucasfilm earned $2.29 million thus bringing its box office total to $207.2 million. This weekend was the first time since opening in late April that Avengers: Infinity War will not be in the box office top ten.

The installment is an action, drama, science fiction, fantasy and adventure movie, debuted in theaters on 21st July 2018. It’s directed by J.A. Bayona from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong, joined by Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell, and Jeff Goldblum.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning as Owen and Claire as they try to save Isla Nublar and its remianing dinosaurs from impending extinction due to a volcanic eruption. It’s full of action and new dinosaur species.
