‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Made a Mighty Mark on the box Office!

The Jurassic franchise is a long way from being wiped out. Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom took a huge chunk of the domestic box office, $150 million to be exact on its opening weekend. That is of course less than the $208.8 million amassed by its predecessor throughout its debut weekend. However, the sequel’s particular success is nothing to look down upon.
Although Fallen Kingdom didn’t have significant rivalry when it came to new movies this weekend, the viewership was quite decent and is expected to be on a rise as time goes by. The Incredibles 2, which opened last week, figured out how to show some staying power. They got an extra $80 million, and therefore totaling its domestic haul to a surmised $350.3 million. On its opening weekend, the Disney/Pixar sequel rounded up just $187.2 million.
In its third weekend, Ocean’s 8 crossed the $100 million point at the domestic box office, taking in an extra $11.6 million the third time around. The fan favorite, Deadpool 2, earned another $5.2 million, authoritatively passing the $300 million mark at the domestic box office.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, an action, drama, science fiction, fantasy and adventure movie, debuted in theaters on 21st July 2018. It’s directed by J.A. Bayona from a script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong, joined by Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Ted Levine, Geraldine Chaplin, James Cromwell, and Jeff Goldblum.
