Phoneix Comic Con took place over Memorial Day Weekend and while the convention started off with a scare, security was tight, the guests were all safe, and the show went on as planned. The convention brings some of the biggest names in film and television together for an unforgettable weekend and it’s one of the standout conventions in the United States every year.

At the 2017 convention, everyone from Ryan Hurst and Kevin Conroy to Bonnie Wright and Karen Gillan were in attendance. In addition to those incredible names, Jon Bernthal joined the list of guests that drew attendees in from all over the country.

Jon has been cast in some incredible roles during his history as an actor. His filmography spans a variety of genres and it is a nod to his talent. He can take any role and make it his own. That’s part of what makes him such a well-liked actor. In addition to his raw talent, he also puts all of himself into his roles and that sort of passion is another quality that helps make an actor stand out.

At the Phoneix convention, Jon Bernthal sat down for a panel where he was asked some questions about his acting history, and one of those questions as about his time spent cast on The Walking Dead.

One of the most emotional moments in season 2 – or any season so far – of The Walking Dead was the barn scene. It affected a multitude of characters, drew out an array of emotions, and it sort of changed the tune of the show – or at least made the entire group realize that no one is safe…and the hard decisions always have to be made.

This scene being Jon’s most memorable makes a lot of sense. It focused on him as a character and an actor and it was a scene that helped shape the series. Shane eventually met his fate at the hands of Rick, and he was one of those totally hated or absolutely adored characters – there wasn’t a big grey area. However, he played a big role in influencing the characters around him, and that rings especially true when it comes to Rick and Carl.
