Jon Bernthal Adopts a new Pit Bull Puppy and we are Smitten

Jon Bernthal is definitely a man among men, so it’s not like we needed another reason to adore him, but he gave us one anyway with his recent post to Instagram. Jon has been a long standing advocate for rescuing dogs and he recently brought home a new addition to his family in the form of an adorable pit bull puppy.
His name is Bam Bam Bernthal and he’s stunning, almost as stunning as Jon is himself, but what’s cuter is the last half of his post. ‘Rescue a Pit Bull. They just may rescue you back.‘
Bam Bam joins Jon’s other rescue Pit Bulls Boss and Venice, as the perfect additions to his family. Not only does he strive to rescue dogs himself, he encourages others to do the same by posting on social media and taking part in campaigns aimed to break the stigma around Pit Bulls and encourage adopting rescues.

While the video is from an older project, it’s not something that Jon dipped his toes into and then walked away from. He understands the importance on a level deeper than many as his father, Eric Bernthal, is the Humane Society of the United States’ chairman of the board.
Not only are we smitten by Jon and Bam Bam, we’re massive fans of the way he shows the importance of rescuing Pit Bulls and breaking the ‘idea’ that they’re violent and aggressive dogs. They bring a special love into your lives, and like Jon said, you’ll end up being the one rescued.
