Joker 2: Arkham Asylum Movie Set is Engulfed in Flames in Newly Released Set Video
Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are two of the hottest stars in Hollywood, but together they create an irresistable buzz. This October 2024, Todd Phillips will bring them to the big screen for his highly-anticipated sequel Joker: Folie à Deux; a follow up to his Oscar-winning 2019 film Joker.
Although much of the sequel remains undisclosed, especially its musical aspect, an exclusive on-set video recently shared by a Lady Gaga fan account gives us a glimpse at DC’s iconic character Harley Quinn’s stomping ground. The footage showcases Gotham City’s notorious Arkham Asylum in flames and burning down to the ground.

Just a few weeks after photos of Phoenix as the Joker hit Twitter, an accompanying video has been released. In addition to this, we’ve recently learned that Gaga’s character — Quinn — will be taking on a different role than originally expected in comic books; instead of being Arkham Asylum’s doctor, she’ll reportedly act as one of its patients.
The title of the film, Folie à Deux, which translates to a “delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association” is enough to give us an idea of where the sequel will go with its plot. As we recalled from Joker’s original movie, he was incarcerated at Arkham Asylum after sparking mayhem throughout Gotham City and kickstarting Bruce Wayne’s origin story. With Phoenix playing as the Joker and Gaga taking on Quinn, it looks like these two are set for a showdown that could result in burning down Arkham Asylum!
Joker: Folie à Deux is scheduled to premiere in theaters on Oct. 4, 2024.
