Jessica Biel To Star In Podcast-Inspired Series ‘Limetown’

Fresh off her Emmy Award-nominated role in USA’s The Sinner, Jessica Biel has already lined up her next project. The actress will be heading to Facebook’s new streaming service Facebook Watch to star in 10-episodes of a new series titled Limetown, which is based on the widely-popular podcast of the same name.

Limetown follows a woman named Lia Haddock (Biel), “a journalist for American Public Radio, as she unravels the  mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee.” The series will be written by podcast creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie.

The first season of the hugely successful podcast went on to become #1 on the Apple Podcast Charts and has received over 10 million downloads. Akers and Bronkie are currently writing a book titled Limetown: The Prequel to the #1 Podcast with writer Cote Smith. The book is due out on November 13th.

Biel, who currently serves as an executive producer on The Sinner, will once again produce Limetown with her Iron Ocean Productions banner. She will be joined by Akers, Bronkie, Michelle Purple, and Scott Rosenberg who will also serve as showrunner for the series.

Facebook Watch recently released their first original programming endeavor with Elizabeth Olsen’s Sorry For Your Loss. The series currently has eight episodes available and has been well received by both critics and audiences.
