Jesse Eisenberg gives updates on ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’

Much of Zombieland: Double Tap still remains a mystery, but returning star Jesse Eisenberg has released some updates.

Eisenberg says filming is going “really well” and joked that they’re “just resting on our laurels and really cocky.”

“No, the opposite. We’re working so hard. It’s one of these movies that, people loved it for personal reasons. So it’s not just a big hit movie. People love it for personal reasons so you want to make sure it’s as funny and as personal as the other one,” said Eisenberg.

Eisenberg is joined by Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Woody Harrelson and director Ruben Fleischer as they return to fight the dead. They are also joined by Rosario Dawson as Nevada, Zoey Deutch as Madison, Avan Jorgia as Berkeley, and Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd as “fictional versions” of themselves. Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch are also joining the sequel in unrevealed roles.

Our main heroes Columbus (Eisenberg), Wichita (Stone) and younger sister Little Rock (Breslin), and Tallahassee (Harrelson), now settled into the White House, split up when Little Rock takes off with a stranger, Berkeley.

Fleischer is excited to return the Zombieland. He feels that is they were going to do a sequel, that they’d make sure “it’s at least as good if not better than the original.”

“The reason we’re all doing it again is ‘cause we all love the world of the movie so much,” he told Comicbook.com. “ I think we have a script that we all feel really confident in go making and yeah, ‘cause it’s such a precious thing none of us want to tarnish its place, we only wanna build upon it.”

Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters October 11.
