Jeremy Renner showcases ongoing recovery progress with antigravity treadmill jog post snowplow accident

In an inspiring display of determination, Jeremy Renner, at the age of 52, continues to push forward on his path to recovery, over five months after a devastating snowplow accident left him severely injured.

Renner recently took to Twitter to share a glimpse of his “first attempt” at jogging on an advanced antigravity treadmill, which he set up in his Los Angeles home. The actor, known for his role as “Hawkeye,” expressed the difficulty of taking that first step but remained optimistic with the hashtag #loveandtitanium.

Since the traumatic incident at the beginning of the year, Renner has remained committed to various therapies to aid his recovery. On January 1, he was airlifted to a local hospital in Reno, Nevada, where he underwent surgery for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries sustained from being crushed by his 14,000-pound PistenBully snowcat.

Renner’s trainer inquired about the level of discomfort during the incline portion of his treadmill workout. The actor, stepping gingerly on the moving treadmill, found it challenging to determine the difference in pain. Clad in a red T-shirt, shorts, and a hat, Renner showcased his progress, swiftly yet cautiously moving his neon running shoes within the enclosed space of the treadmill.

The accident occurred near Renner’s Lake Tahoe residence when he attempted to assist a family member whose vehicle had become stranded in the snow after a heavy snowstorm. While using his PistenBully to clear the driveway, the snowplow unexpectedly began to roll, resulting in the unfortunate incident.

Renner sustained multiple injuries, including over 30 broken bones, as a result of the accident. He has undergone numerous surgeries and has dedicated himself to the recovery process. In a recent interview with Diane Sawyer, he vividly described the sensation of the incident, comparing it to having the wind knocked out of him and the overall bodily distress caused by the trauma.

Despite the challenges faced, Renner remains determined and grateful. He took the opportunity to express his appreciation to the hospital staff at the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, sharing heartfelt photos of their support.

As Renner continues his recovery journey, his perseverance serves as an inspiration to others, reminding us of the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
