Jason Momoa is a legend and not just because he’s Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones and Arthur Curry in the DC realm. He’s a total rockstar, a positive force in the lives of his loved ones, and someone who motivates fans across the world.
Momoa is no stranger to using his platform to bring awareness to his fans, and today, he brought to light a new cause that requires immediate attention. Oh, and his beautiful wife Lisa Bonet was right beside him.
#StandForWolves is, as it sounds, a movement to save already endangered wolves.
On the Wolf Conservation Center website, a bit of information is provided as to the anti-wolf riders that damage the Endangered Species Act. From removing protections for gray wolves in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota to defunding recovery measures for gray wolves – these riders must be shut down.
Their information is as follows.
Damaging anti-wolf amendments that undermind Endangered Species Act protections are still in play for House and Senate draft. The anti-wolf provisions are among a handful of amendments that seek to weaken the ESA.
Momoa and Bonet clearly want to do their part in making sure those changes are not made and a video was posted on Instagram today that allows them to speak briefly as to why this is so important.

Wifey and I #standforwolves. Do you? Join us and fight the war on wolves! Lawmakers have repeatedly unleashed legislation seeking to strip federal Endangered Species Act protections from wolves in four states. If passed into law, wolves will die at the hands of trophy hunters. Beyond putting wolves back in the crosshairs, Congress’s vendetta against imperiled wolves undermines the Endangered Species Act and its scientific process. Momoa says that ‘lawmakers have repeatedly unleashed legislation seeking to strip federal EDA protections from wolves in four states’. Next, Momoa puts it in your face in a way you can’t ignore: wolves are going to be dying at the hands of hunters…it’s a terrible but likely future. The pair howl as wolves and invite you to take a stand as well.
You can visit the Wolf Conservation Center webpage to find out more and send a note opposing the Anti-ESA provisions.
