A trailer was released today for The Outsider, a Netflix original starring Jared Leto. The film will be available to stream on March 9th and it looks incredible.
The trailer shows Leto as he takes on the role of an imprisoned American soldier in post-war Japan. To ensure his survival, he must adapt to an underground world. Leto seems to effortlessly take on the role, but there’s clearly something brewing under the surface. However, it might not be what anyone expected. After watching, you’ll see, he doesn’t seem like much of an outsider at all.
The official premise of the film is as follows.
The story of a captive American soldier who is set free from prison with the help of his Yakuza cellmate. With this, he repays his debt of gratitude to the Yakuza in a way that will require him to maneuver in the world of criminals.
You can see The Outsider on Netflix on March 9th.
