With just two months left to go before Aquaman swims into theaters, film direct James Wan gave fans a close-up, detailed look at some major characters from the film.
The first photo shared by Wan shows Oscar-nominee Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko riding on a saddled and armored plated hammerhead shark. The second photo shows Patrick Wilson as The Ocean Master, King Orm riding on a prehistoric tylosaur – the perfect underwater steed for the Aquaman film villain.

Everything we’ve seen so far for this film looks incredible and we can’t wait to see Aquaman hit the big screen in December.
After his first appearance in 2016’s Batman V. Superman and 2017’s Justice League, Jason Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry (aka. Aquaman, half-human, half-Atlantean and King of the Seven Seas, ruler of Atlantis). In addition to Wilson and Dafoe, the film also stars Amber Heard (as Mera), Temuera Morrison (as Tom Curry), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (as Black Manta), Nicole Kidman (as Queen Atlanna), and Dolph Lundgren (as King Nereus).
Director James Wan is best known for his background in the horror genre, particularly for his work on The Conjuring and Insidious films. This is Wan’s first dip into the superhero world. He also directed Furious 7 which ended up being the top grossing film of the Fast and Furious franchise. Peter Safran is producing along with Zack and Deborah Snyder, Rob Cowan, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
Aquaman will splash down into theaters on December 21, 2018.
