James Gunn Auctioning off a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ Zune MP3 Player for Charity
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is auctioning off a super cool prop from the set of his latest movie and it’s all for a really great cause.
Gunn announced via a Facebook live video that he would be setting up an auction via eBay benefiting the Rainforest Trust charity. The item he is auctioning is certainly something that any Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 fan is going to want to add to their memorabilia collection. Gunn is auctioning off a Zune MP3 player, just like the one seen at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 only this one is much cooler!
Not only is it an awesome piece of memorabilia from the film but, it’s also signed by the entire Guardians cast including Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Kurt Russell (Ego), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Elizabeth Debicki (Ayesha), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax) and Zoe Saldana (Gamora).
In addition to just auctioning off the item, Gunn has pledged to match the winning bid (up to $12,000) with a donation of his to the Rainforest Trust. Pretty incredible. Check out Gunn’s Facebook live video below:
You are bidding on a Zune MP3 player, like the one used in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, signed by writer and director, James Gunn, as well as several cast members including Chris Pratt (Peter Quill / Star-Lord), Kurt Russell (Ego), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Elizabeth Debicki (Ayesha), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), and Dave Bautista (Drax).
James has generously offered this autographed Zune to be auctioned off with the proceeds to benefit Rainforest Trust. Rainforest Trust is a conservation non-profit organization based in Virginia, working to protect threatened tropical forests and endangered wildlife by partnering with local and community organizations in and around vulnerable areas.
To date, Rainforest Trust has protected over 17.6 million acres of tropical habitat across Latin America, Asia and Africa with a goal of protecting a total of 50 million acres by 2020.
All funding collected through this auction will benefit Rainforest Trust’s Conservation Fund which supports the organization’s most urgent conservation projects. Additionally, the winning bid will be doubled thanks to the SAVES Challenge which doubles any support for our conservation projects.
