Jackass: New Johnny Knoxville Film Headed to Big Screen

Paramount has announced a March 5, 2021 release date for the fourth movie in the Jackass “saga”. Jackass is based on the MTV reality stunt-prank series, by the same name, that launched in 2000 and was created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Jeff Tremaine.

Paramount took the brand to the big screen in 2002. The franchise has racked up over $335M in revenue from the first three films.

Tremaine directed the last three Jackass film.  In addition to those three films, Tremaine also directed the Knoxville comedy, Bad Grandpa, that grossed $151.8M and billed as a ‘Jackass presents’ production.

The show’s original description listed as:

You’ve heard it a million times before, but no, seriously: Do not try this at home! Life is one big double-dog dare for the sophomoric superheroes of this cult hit, as they submit to a series of tasteless and often very painful stunts. It’s relentlessly lowbrow, but some of these bits are so startling that you’re bound to laugh, even if it’s out of nervous shock.

Are you excited to Jackass back on the big screen?
