‘IT Chapter 2’ Director Andrew Muschietti Confirms Filming Has Wrapped
I just love this time of year; fall arrives, Halloween comes and then before you know it, it’s time for Turkey and Santa Clause and then it’s the New Year already! Some people may find the last three months of the year to come as a huge whirlwind that can be a lot to handle however, for those of us waiting on new movie releases for 2019, the New Year cannot come fast enough and we welcome the hasty holiday season. One of those highly anticipated movies that will be coming September of 2019 is the sequel to 2017s horror hit, It Chapter 2.
Taking to his Instagram account on Novmeber 1st, director Andrew Muschietti confirmed that filming has in fact completed for It Chapter 2 mentioning what a rollercoaster filming has been and how the franchise wouldn’t be here if not for the fans:
“IT chapter 2 was an 86-day roller coaster ride. Never had so much fun making movies as this one. I had a relentless and inspired crew who believed in this adventure as much as i did and a cast that put their heart and soul behind every second of performance. A huge thank you to all of them and also to my producer and sister @barbaramus who dealt with all the shit that a production like this has reserved for producers. And last but not least, the fans who day by day boosted our spirits by reminding us how much this story means to them. Thank you and Love to you all.”
Muschietti really connected not only with the characters of the Stephen King story of It in the first installment but Muschietti also made an excellent connection with audiences everywhere that allowed the horrifying coming of age story to be told as close to the original work of Stephen King as possible.
While there is a long wait between now and September of 2019 fans everywhere, including myself, will be on the lookout for the first teaser trailer to be released to hold us over until Pennywise and the characters he terrorized grace our screens once again.
