The Impractical Jokers is returning in a big way, four years after the previous season aired. Fans of the hidden camera prank show can rejoice because the truTV fixture is returning.

The season premiere of Impractical Jokers, on April 2, will feature a “supersized” with celebrity guest comedian Eric André, according to an announcement. The next season, which is now being filmed, will include episodes with a slew of “acerbic celebrities.”

Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, and Sal Vulcano continue the tradition of pranks and mayhem that made them one of the most popular comedy acts of recent years. Joe Gatto left the show earlier this year.

The upcoming tenth season of the program will have 26 episodes. The Impractical Jokers’ feature film, which was released in February 2020, grossed $10 million on a $3 million budget.

The major episode will air on truTV, TNT, and TBS simultaneously. It won’t feature Joe Gatto. The original cast member left the show recently due to “difficulties” in his personal life, including the end of his marriage of almost ten years, Bessy Gatto.

“I just wanted to let you all know that I will no longer be involved with Impractical Jokers,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “Alongside my friends, I’ve devoted a decade of my life to building this franchise and couldn’t be prouder of what has been accomplished. However, due to some issues in my personal life, I have to step away.”

Gatto said he wanted “to focus on being the best father and co-parent to our two incredible kids.”

There was a lot of buzz about who would replace Gatto on the program. Many clues suggested that regular guest star Joey Fatone was going to be promoted, but the decision to have a revolving door of celebrities indicates well for the show, suggesting that the boys aren’t finished pulling stunts just yet.

According to Distractify, the jokers make around $50,000 per episode, and they are all multi-millionaires in their own right. They also do shows at stadiums and organize Impractical Joker cruises and tour as individuals on a regular basis.

With the inclusion of the mysterious celebrity guest hosts, as well as the buzz surrounding Gatto’s departure, the newest season of the program has a lot of potential to be the most successful ever.

André is an excellent choice for the role since he’s having a fantastic 2022 so far. He’s currently in season two of The Righteous Gemstones, and he was in the new Jackass movie.

The newest season of Impractical Jokers is set to premiere in April.
