According to Comicbook.com, with a Fast & Furious 9 on the way in 2020, things are heating up when it comes to a sequel to the spinoff hit, Hobbs & Shaw. Producer, Hiram Garcia, recently opened up to Comicbook with a status update on discussions.
“We are having conversations, we were so happy with how it did,” Garcia told ComicBook.com. “The studio was extremely happy and there’s been a lot of great conversations just about seeing where things layout. Obviously [Fast & Furious 9] is on its way. That’s going to do great things. Taking some bits from that, ’cause it’s all a shared universe and it’s all in the works.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham starred as an unlikely duo, given that their onscreen characters don’t get along, but go onto save the world against Idris Elba who is essentially a superhuman. The film is full of great action and laughs. You do not need to be familiar with the Fast & Furious films in order to enjoy Hobbs & Shaw.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and returning Fate of the Furious co-stars Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron in Fast 9, which arrives in theaters on May 22, 2020. There is also a Fast 10 already in the works that will premier on April 2, 2021.
Are you excited about a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw? What do you think about two more Fast and Furious films in the next two years?

This is post P-90x. I’m saying I watched the videos. I’m not saying I participated. Born in my mom’s basement, I’ve stayed there to embody the stereotype. One day I will rise up… to the main floor of the house.
